The city of Mulberry, Florida is located in the middle of Orlando and Tampa and is less then 1 hour drive to either!

In the 1850’s, the first permanent new settlers came to the area near the dead-waters of the “Peas River” (or Peace River). In 1851 the Readding Blount family built a stockade community known as Fort Blount. It was later named for Francis S. Bartow, a Confederate general. Bartow was incorporated as a town in 1882 and became a city in 1893 Today near 17,000 people reside Bartow in its 57 square mile area
